Association for Advanced Technologies ASPECT is an active participant of the market of innovative technologies for more than two decades. Originating from the Ministry of Special Machine Building (Minsredmash) of the former USSR, ASPECT Association in the past 15 years has become a respected engineering centre that solves the tasks of determining strategic, economically significant R&D directions, establishing cooperation of scientific institutions and industrial enterprises, and ensuring effective fulfillment of projects. ASPECT Association is actively functioning in all regions of Russia where particular innovation and investment projects are implemented.
Over many years, ASPECT also actively cooperates with leading foreign scientific institutions, R&D centers, and industrial companies such as Lockheed Martin (United States); Exxon Mobil Corporation (United States); Linde AG (Germany); E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Company (United States); Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Sandia National Laboratory, and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (United States); CMR Fuel Cells Ltd. (Great Britain); Electrochemistry & Surface Engineering National Physical Laboratory (Great Britain); Fraunhofer-Institut fur Zuverlaessigkeit und Mikrointegration (Germany); MTI Micro Fuel Cells (United States); University of Waterloo (Canada); Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS, France); Nestle S.A. (Switzerland); European Aeronautic Defense and Space Company (EADS); ASTRIUM GmbH (Germany); Karl-Winnacker Institut (Germany) and others.
Association for Advanced Technologies ASPECT is a recognized international expert in many fields, including renewable power engineering, energy-saving technologies, new technologies in oil and gas processing, bioenergy, non-traditional pharmacology, and many others.
An important direction of activity for ASPECT Association is the development of innovative technologies in petrochemistry and gas chemistry. For these purposes, the centre of expertise “Nanotechnologies in Oil and Gas Chemistry” has been established and equipped with world-class measuring equipment.
ASPECT Association is among world recognized leaders in the development of technologies for obtaining high value-added products from renewable biomass. This field includes R&D works related to the creation of innovative, cost-effective and energy-saving technologies of converting energy-rich biomass into traditional motor fuels. These technologies provide a basis for establishing large-scale profitable enterprises.
Technologies aimed at obtaining basic chemicals, high-molecular-mass compounds, motor fuel components, etc. from renewable raw material sources (i.e., what is generally referred to as “green chemistry”) are among priority R&D directions for the Association.
While acting as an integration and management company, ASPECT Association possesses research and production facilities of its own for conducting complex R&D works in the fields of “green chemistry”, nanomembrane technologies, gradient porous matrix structures, nanocatalytic systems, compact fuel cells, and in many other research areas.
ASPECT produces metalloceramic membranes that are unique with respect to the world standard level. A complex composition of a porous metal substrate and deposited active ceramic layers exhibits ductility and retains all advantages of inorganic membranes, which makes these metalloceramic membranes competitive with the best polymeric membranes.
ASPECT Association has the status of non-profit non-governmental agency and solves many scientific problems by establishing interdisciplinary cooperation between various fields of science, including chemistry, biology, physics, gene engineering, etc.
